But as its players evolve and grow as musicians, all the while honing their craft and building a loyal base of fans, the genre’s hidden gems seem ripe to be uncovered by the rest of the world.
At the forefront of that music expedition is Limbeck, California’s four-piece of light-hearted, but heartfelt country riffs and indie lyrics. The band’s popish, toetapping beats, bluesy guitar solos and mellow, transcendent vocals are hard to ignore. Coupled with their ability to successfully experiment with their songwriting while still creating a sound that comes across as soulfully simple and you have a finished product that reminds listeners it’s okay for music to be fun again.

The Bear
"It is actually one of his alter egos. If he gets a little bit of drink in him, he is AKA The Bear. There are a couple of other alter egos as well, but the famous one is The Bear. It doesn’t speak English. It just kind of howls. Usually just only has pants on. No shoes. No shirt. And The Bear lies on the ground a lot and hollers."
Growing Up as Musicians
"We’ve been a band for awhile now. And just us, being in this band, we kind of feel like we’re coming into our own. What we’re doing really makes a lot more sense to us all now. And we feel comfortable with the direction that we’re going."

"It’s kind of just trying things out. It wasn’t an overnight thing for us. It was a very long, long process of failing and trying again."

"…Definitely the Brian Wilson pianos and the Jimi Hendrix guitar that I got to hold. It’s kind of unreal touching something that was once in their hands. I mean I know it’s probably not the exact guitar or piano everything was written on, but just knowing it was part of both of those people’s repertoire of instruments is pretty mind blowing."
